The Cederberg lies 200km north of Cape Town, stretching from the Middelberg Pass in Citrusdal to north of the Pakhuis Pass at Clanwilliam. The wilderness area encompasses about 71 000 hectares of rugged, mountainous terrain, making it a top spot in the Western Cape for cycling with its dramatic views.The Cederberg is a World Heritage Site and is a well-known mountain bike destination. There are many gravel roads, jeep tracks and single tracks to challenge riders of all abilities. Due to the fairly high elevation and rolling hills, an ebike is ideally suited to riding in this area.
Your bike ride will begin at Imlil, where you’ll take the southwest pass towards the most important village in the region, where vibrant Berber markets are held every week.We continue to the Atlas village of Imlil, and your journey asphalt track gradually ascending to the mountain top village Tamatert.Winding your way up the zig-zag route through the Tizi n’Tamatert pass at an altitude of 2300 meters high, we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Toubkal peak and Sublime mountain. From the pass, we may descend by single track or off-road, and we’ll journey along the amazing Imnan Valley with perfect Atlas view over the cultivated terraces and through more traditional Berber villages,After enjoying a tasty cooked lunch in Arg, we’ll continue our bike trip descent until we reach the village of Asni. Then from where we’ll enjoy a tea break before we drive back to Marrakech.

Our bikes are transported by a mules and we are all walking to the pass about 1 hour and half walking . Then we will hit the road again with our bikes. A nice but technical – single track – descent over rough and sometimes steep slopes through the beautiful valley of Azadene village in this village we will have a traditional lunch made by our them or by the locals . Along the way, we have views over beautiful valleys.Total: walking approx. 1, 5 hours Mountain biking approx. 35 km.
